Conditioned transport: refrigerated and frozen goods
Conditioned transport is often confused with refrigerated transport, but these two things are not quite the same. In fact, conditioned transport is about shipping perishable goods without losing quality. The conditions during transport are very important, none more so than a constant temperature. Whilst this may often mean refrigerated transport, it may also involve frozen transport or even heated transport. As a result, the refrigerated, frozen and heated transport of goods are all referred to as ‘conditioned transport’. This form of shipping is also known as ‘frigo transport’.
